The quality and safety of drinking water is of great concern to WSSCA because of an increased interest in health and environmental quality. The Water Testing Laboratory established in WSSCA Office performs water quality tests on daily basis. The nature of these tests is regular based, private testing and complaint-based testing. On average, 90 to 100 water quality tests are being performed each month. Laboratory team has marked 60 points in the jurisdiction of WSSCA from where samples are taken once a month for testing purposes. The testing at sources like Tube Wells and Water Treatment Plant is also done on regular basis. Till today, around 2700 water quality tests have been performed with more than 80% satisfaction rate.
